CItyU ACIM Website
Project Brief
ACIM is a research and creative hub within CityU, bringing together applied computing, interactive media, and interdisciplinary experimentation. The website needed to function as a clear showcase for this work, without becoming heavy or overengineered.
CityU’s priority was a small, well-structured platform that could present projects, people, and initiatives clearly, while remaining easy to update by internal teams. The result needed to be practical, credible, and sustainable rather than promotional or visually excessive.
The Challenge
The website had to support a wide range of content, including research outputs, creative projects, and academic profiles, while keeping the overall structure compact and easy to understand.
Editorial updates needed to be simple, as the site would be maintained by staff without dedicated technical resources, and content clarity was essential to avoid unnecessary complexity.
The Vision
Rather than building a large site, we focused on creating a focused platform that highlights ACIM’s work through clear presentation and logical content groupings.
The website was designed to feel professional and purposeful, with an interface that supports exploration while giving CityU staff full control over ongoing updates.
